MASTER OF PUBLIC MANAGEMENT (MPM)

Student Profile

Our MPM students combine strong academic records with diverse and interesting work experiences. The MPM program focuses on the development of managerial and analytical capabilities, with an emphasis on preparing students for management roles in organizations that deliver public services or have frequent interactions with the government. The MPM thus attracts students from diverse professional fields. Apart from those in the public sector (such as government and inter-governmental organizations, publicly funded institutions and social service organizations), young professionals in financial, consulting, general management and technology firms may also find the MPM an attractive post-graduate program to pursue. The varied professional background of our students enhances class diversity and the quality of the learning environment.

Most of our MPM students are alumni of top universities in Hong Kong and mainland China, such as the University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Sun Yat-Sen University. We also have students who studied at top universities abroad, such as Emory University and the University of California, Irvine. Finally, a wide range majors is represented by our MPM students, again contributing to the diversity of the class.
