Department of Public Policy and the Institute of Emerging Market Studies (IEMS) organized a workshop on "Risk Perception of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Indian Construction Industry"at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 14th to 15th of November 2019. The workshop was facilitated by Prof. Kira Matus (Associate Professor and Associate Head, Department of Public Policy), where the experts from academia, industry and law discussed the implications of AI technologies in construction industry. Prof. Gangadhar Mahesh (Associate Professor, National Institute of Technology Karnataka), Prof. V. Senthilkumar (Assistant Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad) , Prof. Laishram Boeing Singh (Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati), Prof. Ashwin Mahalingam (Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Madras), Adv. Prasanna Bhagwan (Practicing Advocate, Patent Agent, DFP & TRIZ Certified, Lexnovate Legal LLP) , Ms Priyadrashini Das (Doctoral Scholar C4SMC, WSU), Prof. Chakradhar Iyyunni (Professor CHARUSAT), Mr. Sunil Kumar (L&T IPM) and Mr. Kevin Prasanna (Project Lead, Katerra) participated in the workshop. Also Prof. Jacky Chung from Poly University. shared his views in the discussions. Mr. Vishnu Sivarudran Pillai supported the event.
